The motivation to develop WildChords came out of own experience of being a guitar drop-out. Unfortunately non of the existing teaching methods seemed to address the real issue when it comes to music instrument drop-outs: a lack of motivation to practice. Therefore Chris and co-founder Mikko went out to find a top team of signal processing experts, game developers, crazy students, guitar teachers and visual artists to get the project going. The goal was to develop a game that can be played by children, non tech people and total guitar beginners without any previous knowledge. Here is the Ovelin team:Christoph Thür, Mikko Kaipainen, Anssi Klapuri, Matti Ryynänen, Tobias Domhan, Markus Pajakkala, Tero Koskela, Danko Pantovic, Carsten the Crocodile Uuaaargh!

"I think Ovelin has done a fabulous job of making it a game, but maintaining the teaching aspect. It's the best execution of game + teaching that I've seen for music learning." - Charles Huang - Father of guitar hero"Fantastic app! - I love this app! Music practice has never been more fun. My kids practically fight over whose turn it is to practice guitar. I really enjoy using it too. This is what the iPad was meant to do." - Homeschooling Dad (US)
