Space Noon has finally been released. It has been nominated in the Best Upcoming Game category for the 11th IMGA. We have asked three questions to Florian Grolig, the game’s designer.
Can you explain what Space Noon is about for those who don’t know the game?
You are a space cowboy. Face your nemesis in a cosmic shootout. Use your understanding of space physics to succeed against your best friend or worst enemy in the fast paced local multiplayer mode or practice your skills alone in a number of solo-challenges.
The final version will add multiple stages, 4 character and a singleplayer mode, so you can enjoy and practice SN alone and prepare for the next multiplayer shootout with your friends. A certain success given, we would love to add more stages and cowboys in free updates. And even a “Space Noon 2” is possible. Though, as we try hard to stay excited about our work, we’ll probably try something completely different first.

Can you tell us more about the team behind this game?
metametagames is the after-work lovechild of Ole Krause-Sparmann (code) and Florian Grolig (art+design). Together we develop games for fun and to pay for delicious food and exclusive beverages. Our first app Sisyphos, rather a nihilistic one-button joke, took us one and a half year to finish. Appropriate, considering the theme. We hope to finish our next project, the local multiplayer space shootout simulator „Space Noon“ without getting into a gunfight. …
