About Enigmatis 3: The Shadow of Karkhala

Enigmatis 3: The Shadow of Karkhala is the finale of the highly acclaimed series developed by the Polish studio that takes the player to Karakorum – full of mystic temples, mysterious caves, picturesque villages, and inaccessible mountains brimming with wildlife.

In the aftermath of the dramatic events in Ravenwood Park, the detectives return to Maple Creek in the hope of finding clues that will help to establish the whereabouts of the demonic Preacher. Thanks to their cunning and relentlessness, they discover the final destination of their nemesis: inaccessible mountains at the end of the world. Drawn into the struggle between the forces of light and darkness, the detectives will need to double their efforts to unravel the secret of the mysterious Karakorum temple and deal with the Preacher once and for all.

The third part introduces some curious new characters with a local background, adding more depth to the entire plot. The visuals of The Shadow of Karkhala possess their own unique, characteristic color palette that differs from Maple Creek’s autumnal night or the foggy summer of Ravenwood Park. Each location that the player experiences in Enigmatis 3 – the village at foot of the mountain, the temples, the mountains passes, the archeological dig sites, and the crypts – reflects the cultural riches of Karakorum and the local myths and legends inspired by both ancient Chinese and Middle Eastern culture.
The final chapter of Enigmatis is very action oriented and offers a plethora of demanding riddles, but also opportunities for sentimental revisiting of some locations from the previous games and a chance to look at them with a fresh eye.
