Monument Valley 2 is ustwo games' follow up to 2014's smash hit Monument Valley, which saw players navigate a silent princess called Ida through a world of endless staircases and mind-bending puzzles that could have been designed by MC Escher himself. Monument Valley 2 builds on the illusion based gameplay and stunning visual style that the first game was praised for and adds even more surprises and delights for players to discover. The game introduces 2 new characters, Ro and her child, and players are invited to join them on their journey of discovery, helping them on their way by manipulating the world to let them pass through previously inaccessible routes.

Sequel to the original 2014 mobile game, Monument Valley 2 presents a brand new adventure set in a beautiful and impossible world. What makes my game unique?

We always aim to bring something new to the industry with each new game we make, and with Monument Valley 2, we wanted to give mothers the representation that we feel they'd been lacking up until now in game stories. Too often are mothers in games simply portrayed as minor characters, without much, if any, character development or personality of their own. We wanted Ro the mother to be the main character in this game, she has her own hopes and desires, and as players will see in the story, her life doesn't suddenly stop once her child becomes old enough to look after herself.

Why could my game win an award?

This will sound super cliché, but seriously, being nominated for any award an immense honour for us! We hope that our constant desire to raise the profile of mobile gaming is something that resonates with and is recognised by our players and our peers. Also, Monument Valley 2 has amazing audio, all composed by our sound designer and friend Todd Baker and the soundtrack alone is worthy of many awards! :)
