About The Sandbox

The Sandbox is a decentralized, community-driven platform where creators can monetize voxel assets and gaming experiences on the blockchain. Taking Pixowl’s successful mobile franchise (40M installs, 70M worlds created and 1.2M monthly active players) to PC and Mac with a 3D multiplayer version leveraging blockchain technology, The Sandbox is aiming to disrupt the market by providing the community of makers true ownership of their creations as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) while rewarding them for their participation in the ecosystem.

The Sandbox platform offers a Voxel Editor allowing anyone (kids included!) to make 3D assets, a Marketplace for trading & selling these assets and a highly customizable game systems where they can be used.

The Sandbox decentralized gaming platform is currently in development and the first beta of its 3D Voxel Editor will be made public on its website before the end of the year. Voxel artists and creators are invited to get involved into the community through The Sandbox Discord channel: https://discord.gg/vAe4zvY or via http://community.sandbox.game, where they will be able to enter into art contests and win prizes. The full game platform is expected to roll out later in 2019.

What makes my game unique?

The Sandbox is a 3D voxel-style, community-driven game powered by blockchain where creators can create, fully own, and monetize their voxel assets and enjoy unique gaming experiences. They are aiming to disrupt the existing UGC games by providing the creators true ownership of their creations as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and rewards (SAND) for their participation in the ecosystem. The platform offers a Voxel Editor that allows everyone (kids included) to make 3D assets/boxes, a marketplace for trading & selling them, and finally the game itself where gamers can use and play them.

Why could my game win an award?

We've spent the last 7 years building one of the most successful user-generated content franchise on mobile (The Sandbox) with 40M installs to date and 70M player-made creations with www.thesandboxgame.com and www.thesandbox2.com We're taking it to the next stage in 3D multiplayer and hope to disrupt the existing competitors (Minecraft & Roblox) and establish ourselves as a new reference for the next 10 years to come
