The call for entries of the 13th IMGA Global will close in less than a month, and the first judging session is right around the corner! Earlier this year, we debuted a new online judging system to ensure that every submitted game was getting a fair shake before we narrowed the selection down to a shortlist of games worthy of a full IMGA nomination. This new system was hugely successful during the first IMGA SEA and first IMGA MENA events in 2016, and we’re pleased to confirm we will be using our online judging system for the 13th IMGA Global as well. The online judging, which is completed by mobile game experts, will help us to distill the hundreds of games submitted down to a final list of IMGA Global nominees.
These nominated games will then be announced on February 2nd, and played by our jury members during the judging session held in Marseille, France on February 6th and 7th.
In Marseille, our jury will play all the pre-selected games and debate their merits during a two-day face-to-face judging session. The winners of all the categories will be announced during the IMGA Global award ceremony on March 1st in San Francisco.
